On 10 April, a UK delegation attended the Integrity In Sport seminar hosted by the Anti-Corruption Office of Argentina and the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport (IPACS) was showcased as a partnership focusing on good governance and anti-corruption in sport.

The UK delegation comprising of Liz Nicholl, CEO of UK Sport, and Robert Morini, UK Sport’s Head of Governance and International Relations, travelled to Buenos Aires to speak at a high-level Argentina-UK seminar on governance and anti-corruption in sport, organised by the Anti-Corruption Office of Argentina (in partnership with the British Embassy). The seminar followed a bilateral meeting between the British Prime Minister Theresa May and the President of Argentina in November 2018 on the margins of the G20 meeting, where tackling the risks of corruption in sport was discussed and included in the G20 2019-21 Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2019-21.

The seminar provided a platform to exchange best practice in implementing good governance in sport. Over 100 Sports Federations representatives were in attendance.  The exchange provided the opportunity to raise awareness on IPACS, particularly the work of its Taskforce 3, and to start a conversation not only at international but also at bilateral level about the relevance of integrity in the sport sector, broaden the knowledge about good governance and experiences in this area, and identify lines of partnership between the public sector and sport entities.
