How to train for ski jump with no snow

Ever watched the gravity-defying athletes take on Olympic ski jumping and wanted to try it yourself? Well, training for the daredevil event is a lot more accessible than you might expect.

In fact, as USA Nordic combined specialist Taylor Fletcher tells the Olympic Channel, a plastic chair is a perfect replacement for a snowy hill, allowing you to simulate the “inrun” and work on your balance for the take-off.

It is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular of all the winter sports, a breath-taking display of bravery and focus. And it can all be recreated in the simplest of settings.
